A warm, respectful place for Jewish farmers, ranchers, homesteaders, and country-hearted singles to meet someone who understands Shabbat evenings, harvest mornings, and why family comes first - always.
Jewish farmers dating is about more than religion on a profile checkbox - it's about honoring a relationship with the land that stretches back thousands of years, from the biblical commandments of shmita and pe'ah to the Jewish farming colonies of South Jersey, North Dakota, and Petaluma, California. When Baron de Hirsch's fund helped settle Jewish agricultural colonies across rural America in the late 1800s, it planted the seeds of a quiet, enduring tradition that's still alive today. Today there are Jewish cattle ranchers in Colorado, organic vegetable farmers in the Catskills, dairy operators in Wisconsin, and Chabad-adjacent homesteaders raising kids on land their grandparents never imagined.
We built this community for the folks living that story. By 2014, the niche dating landscape had grown to include sites for every faith, lifestyle, and interest imaginable - and the farmer segment in particular took off after FarmersOnly proved that rural singles wanted a space of their own. Jewish country singles deserve one too. A place where you don't have to explain why you won't schedule a first date on Friday night, or why the High Holidays are non-negotiable, or why your pasture is named after your grandmother.
Jewish tradition has always been intertwined with agriculture. Three of the four major festivals - Passover, Shavuot, and Sukkot - are harvest holidays at their root. Tu BiShvat, the new year of the trees, is a farmer's holiday in the most literal sense. The land isn't background scenery to Jewish life; it's part of the covenant.
Our members live that every day. Some keep kosher, some don't. Some are Orthodox, many are Conservative or Reform, some describe themselves as culturally Jewish and deeply spiritual about the work. What unites them is a shared framework: family first, the land second, and a partner who can walk into either without needing a translator.
What this community is not: a matchmaking service with a quota, a shtetl stereotype, or a space where observance level is anyone's business but yours. Whether you light candles every Friday night or mostly show up for Passover - you're welcome here. What we ask is simple: show up honest, show up kind, and treat every member the way you'd want your own bubbe treated.

Four things most of our Jewish farming members find matter more than almost anything else.
From lighting Shabbat candles in a farmhouse kitchen to building a sukkah next to the hay barn - tradition finds its way onto every farm. Our members share a framework without policing how you practice it.
Three-generation dinners, grandkids running through the orchard, in-laws who actually like each other. Jewish country families tend to be close-knit - and members here are looking for a partner who wants to be part of that.
Whether it is your local shul forty miles away, a havurah of farming families, or the neighbor who plows your drive in January - rural Jewish life runs on chesed. Members here show up for each other.
Shmita, bal tashchit, tikkun olam - Jewish tradition has always taken stewardship seriously. Many of our members run organic, regenerative, or family-scale operations and look for partners who feel the same.
I had been on two other sites and deleted both - too many messages that had nothing to do with who I actually was. David's first note asked what I was planting that spring and whether I did a seder in the field like his mother used to. We talked on the phone for six weeks. He drove from Petaluma to the Catskills for our first Shabbat together - five days, one beat-up pickup, and a challah his sister baked for the road. We got married under a chuppah in the orchard the following Sukkot. I was fifty-two. He was fifty-eight. Turns out it is never too late for the real thing.

Mainstream apps were never built for the Jewish farmer in Weld County or the homesteader in the Catskills. The math alone is unforgiving: the nearest match on Tinder is either a college student an hour away or someone whose idea of the outdoors is a rooftop bar. Add Friday night observance, the High Holidays, and harvest schedules, and you have a profile that algorithms simply do not know how to place.
Here is where it gets interesting: niche dating sites solve most of that at the door. When JDate launched in the late 1990s it proved Jewish singles wanted their own space; when FarmersOnly launched in 2005 it proved rural singles did too. By 2014, the niche dating landscape had grown to cover dozens of faiths, lifestyles, and interests, including a steady rise in farming-focused platforms. The best niche dating sites don't try to be everything for everyone. They pick a lane, take care of the people in it, and let word of mouth do the work.
That is what we have tried to build here. One account works across every community we run, so a Jewish dairy farmer in Wisconsin can also list on our country farmers dating community and appear in state searches on our Wisconsin or California hubs. One profile, every door open.
A note on observance. Members span the full range - Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, Renewal, secular-cultural, and everything in between. You tell us what matters to you on your profile, you filter for what you need in a partner, and we stay out of the way. Dating in this community is never graded.
